I have read the magic of making up, and I think that it can definitely work for me, I have a few questions though because there are a few circumstances of mine that confuse me.

First of all, we never got into a fight or anything, we broke up cause of distance (that’s what he told me, but I also think that because of distance that our spark fizzled a little bit)… when we were together we were always happy, the relationship was never one-sided and I honestly do think we were good for each other. After 5 months we broke up. It has been 2 months since we broke up. We still get along very well. And I know I made a few mistakes in the beginning by always initiating contact with him, he usually answered but this was before reading your system. We occasionally had talks about maybe getting back together in the future but nothing concrete. We have even talked about possibly meeting up. The problem is we live 3 hour drive away, and I am in school for at least one more year (depending on where I get in I may or may not be moving closer to him)… Originally I was going to be moving closer to him for the summer at least, now probably not because we are apart.

I really think this guy is worth fighting for, and I know I’m good for him. I never called him crying and pleading but I definitely did some chasing. Over about the last week I have stopped initiating contact and we even talked about how we can start dating other people and I was calm and told him I was ok with it. (obviously I want to date him!)… He has talked about maybe coming down to visit me, but we haven’t set anything in stone yet.

About the no contact, what do I do when he contacts me (I have not been initiating contact and will continue to not, and I can already see some results from that) Our contact is usually over text message, so what do I do? after 3 days of not contacting me he texted me, and then initiated contact again for the next 6 days…

I obviously wish that I could solve this and have him back today, but I know that this isn’t realistic and I have to be patient.
We still always are friendly with each other, but I think that although I didn’t cry and plead he knew that I wanted him back, obviously since he was the one who did the dumping. What do I do? A lot of the techniques are difficult because although we’re gonna start ‘dating’ again we live far away so we don’t run into each other, and a visit requires a 3 hour drive, I am more than willing to put in the effort if we can get back together to go visit more. (when we were together we saw each other every week or two)…

Distance makes it more difficult, but first things first. If he really wants you he will climb over mountains to make it happen. Even if you can only get together every few months, it can be made to work if you both want it.

I’d really appreciate some help, I think that when we were together he intimidated me cause he was older and I’d like another chance to really show him how I can come out of my shell a bit more. A part of me isn’t sure about the no contact now, because since i didn’t initiate contact and he started messaging me what do i do next? Please help. Thank you very much.
