How To Get Over A Break Up – Part 2

In Part 1 you learned that your feelings about your break up are normal, and that by using methods that work, you can move on and, if you wish, get your ex back.

Lets move on to the next important tips…….

2) Looking after you:

After a break up you may find yourself not wanting to do much at all, perhaps even sinking into depression, and you need to take action immediately or you’ll be heading o a downward spiral that’s hard to break. It’s vital you take action!

The new interest and activities I spoke about above are a great start and I suggest you also concentrate on developing a goal driven, regular, exercise program. Join that gym or other activity that involves regular exercise, not only will you be getting yourself into better physical shape you will find that you’re starting to look after yourself mentally.

Our self image (how we see yourselves) and our self confidence are boosted tremendously when we undertake a regular exercise program and many people have told me that it was the first step in turning things around for them and being able to rejoice and say “I am me! I am worthy; I am special and deserve the best in all things”

Can you see how important this would be to you in this difficult time?

3) Talk to a trusted friend:

You have to be a bit careful with this one. You need to understand that the purpose is not to ask your friend for advice on how to get over the break up, or what to do to get your ex back, it’s to provide you with a good listener that you can unload onto and get everything off your chest. Asking a friend for advice can be disastrous because  most people have little experience with any break up, no experience at all with yours and absolutely no knowledge of the, often counter-intuitive, methods that have been shown to work time and time again for so many people.

For medical advice you would consult a doctor, for relationship advice you need to consult a relationship expert and the least expensive way to do this is to take advantage of one of the e-books reviewed on this blog.  Pick the one that most closely matches your situation. A couple of these e-books do a very good job in helping you decide if you really want your ex back or, if you decide the relationship is not really worth pursuing, lays out a complete strategy of how to get over the break up quickly and how to get on with your life, intact, excited and confident.

As you talk out your situation with your trusted friend you will find yourself mentally moving on and, now unburdened and with a clear mind, in a much better position to begin to step back and plan how to get over the breakup, and it you wish to, how to get your ex back.

Look for Part 3 coming soon.

CAUTION: The relationship advice in this post is only a brief introduction to this important subject, and should NOT be used without the benefit of the additional, and detailed, methods and step by step plans, contained in one of the top rated relationship guides reviewed on this blog. Before you take any steps to improve your relationship, please make sure you are using the additional, and vital, information from one of these relationship guides, as failure to do so could lead to you making serious mistakes.
